Dag Rune meaning New Day -- filled with light -- Balance and Happiness -- Plutonian Change
Greetings! Louisa Lolly and I just pulled the wheat bread out of the oven. That's the thing about being under quarantine -- ya think of inventive things to do to keep you busy! When the family announced, "My stars, there is no bread at the grocery store!" I said, "go buy me yeast packets." While baking the first batch, my oldest son said, "Gee, I haven't seen you make bread this way in over twenty years." He smiled and pitched in (he worked at Panera when he was a teen). Sometimes interim jobs we think will never be of any great use serve us well later!
Lolly and Silver are busy during the quarantine! Today, they made wheat bread together!
Today's Challenge! Clear Away One Large or Difficult Area that you have been avoiding. For me, it was yet ANOTHER closet. Shaking my head. The one in my bedroom. I had it under control in December. Alas, alack, it grew tentacles right up to the very door. When a visiting guest asked to see something I'd stored in there, I told him that unless he wanted to climb Mt. Everest RavenWolf and waste a couple of hours, it wasn't happening. He wisely declined. Your main challenge today is to wrestle into submission one cluttered area in your living environment. You can do this!
Painted Boogy Rocks -- If you are feeling bored, you can paint Boogy Rocks to place in the home or carry with you when you finally do get out of the house! Boogy Rocks are small, usually fit in the palm of your hand, and are designed as protective or lucky vehicles (you choose). My Boogy Rocks look like little monsters; but, yours can look however you wish. A smooth rock, acrylic paint, and a polymer sealer are all you need for a long-lasting protective friend. No sealer? Don't let that stop you. Paint away and get the sealer later! You can also use spray paints for your foundation color. Hint: To lessen the number of coats needed to bring out the vibrancy of bright colors, use a base coat of Gesso.
A good Boogy Rock comes from a Spirit Walk, where you take a jaunt into nature and ask Spirit to help you choose the right rock for your stated need. I like my rocks to be the size of a 50-cent piece; but, you can pick any dimension that calls to you. When you get home, soak the stone in saltwater, allow to dry, and then dress it with a liquid fluid condenser. I used Violet (for protection) Liquid Fluid Condenser. * I don't use a magickal oil because it is too difficult to rub off before painting although you can use a few drops of magickal oil right in the acrylic paint. You can also spray the surface (or douse it) with your favorite perfume (Kolonia 1800). Kolonia 1800 is used by magickal practitioners to make evil run from you and acts as a mirror to send negativity back to the individual who sent bad vibes to you. You can also use Four Thieves Vinegar.
As you paint your stone, be sure your intent is clear. Finish by blessing the rock. I have a little charm for banishing sickness and negativity that I learned a long time ago from an old man at a senior citizens center: Rats and Frogs and Flies and Mice take the poison for your spice. Twice around, and three by three, take the evil far from me! Breathe on the face of your monster three times, whispering for it to awaken. Pass the front and back of your painted amulet over the flame of a red candle to stimulate the protective energies. Carry your Boogy Rock in a little bag or pouch in your pocket or around your neck, along with the charm above or your own rhyme or sigil. You can also put your rock by the front door to "eat" any negativity before it enters the home. Re-empower every 30 days. Feed (sprinkle over the face) your Boogy Rock on a regular basis, about once a month. I feed mine a mixture of powdered dragons blood, cloves, and hot peppers. If your Boogy Rock gets lost, never fear. It was time for it to go. Make a new one.
