Silver and Mojo

Mojo - Special Needs Cattle Dog - 12 Weeks

A Heartfelt Apology and Exciting News!

I sincerely apologize for my absence on FB over the past couple of weeks. Life took me on quite the whirlwind adventure, and I appreciate your patience during this time.

First, unexpected but appreciated household renovations have been in full swing for the past several weeks. It's been an exciting and fulfilling process, transforming nearly every room in our home. While it’s a bit chaotic, seeing everything come together has been incredibly rewarding. These changes encouraged me to do some serious purging (I do love my release program, lol) and since I couldn't find my computer...well...there's no problem locating it now!

On top of that, I had the joy of traveling to the border of the delightful state of Georgia to rescue a puppy! That's right. My husband, oldest son, and his girlfriend piled into the SUV and took off during gorgeous summer days to pick up the newest member of our family. Meet Mojo, our new furry family member! This sweet cattle dog has had a tough start, suffering from a traumatic brain injury (TBI) at just 10 weeks old. Despite his challenges, his arrival has filled our home with sheer delight and LOTS of activity!

I can’t wait to share more about Mojo’s journey, his personality, and what it’s been like to integrate him into our family amidst the renovations. Stay tuned for more frequent updates now that things are settling down!

P.S. If you have any tips for raising a special needs puppy, I’d love to hear your stories in the comments below!

Congrats on your new fur baby! Bless him, he's precious 💙.

"Clicker" training + treat = encouraging wanted behaviors. My niece is a dog trainer who specializes in the "the hard cases". This I've learned from her:

*Doesn't have to be a "clicker" Use the special noise (1 syllable, finger snap, tongue cluck...) like it's a camera and you're "Taking a picture" of good behavior. Timing is important. Follow with a small yummy treat.
