Only six more days! Whoot! Celebrate the amazing you!
Day Twenty–Five- of 2018 Great Release Program – 25 December – Tuesday By Silver RavenWolf
3rd Quarter Moon moves from Cancer to Leo – Fire Energy! Tuesday – Mars Day
One way to change your personal behavior is to change your environment. I believe that by linking the mental focus of change to the acts of rearranging your living/working area with the end goal of harmony, we obtain that which we desire at a much faster rate. As we experience the emotional freedom we earn each day as a result of our release and reorganizing actions, we naturally welcome balance and good fortune. Peace isn’t a sometime thing…it can be a most-time thing. (I, being a Virgo, think that total perfection is beyond human scope, so I go for the gold, yet, celebrate the journey). Some of the techniques you learn in this program will flow with you into the new year and will continue to serve you well.
Statistics differ on how long it takes a new habit to become ingrained in our behavior — with the touted new (there always a new one, isn’t there?) number of 99 days or a little better than 3 months. In Braucherei (Pow-Wow) the old adage was that it took as many days to undo a problem, as it took to put the problem into place. This guideline was especially followed in healing with “you don’t get sick in a day; therefore, you won’t get well in a day”. Meaning it takes time and repetition of good behavior (changed actions) to embrace the wholeness of healing — which includes not just the physical; but, the emotional weakness, the astral damage and energy drain that opened the way for the disease in the first place. In this way, the disease was seen as a demon (a way to mentally collect the problem under one word/pattern so it could be vanquished), and infection was sometimes referred to as the dragon.
Most people don’t want to look at change as a process, particularly in our fast-paced society. We want miracle cures, fast action, and immediate results. We are fooled, sometimes, when the physical seems quickly adjusted, only to realize later on (or perhaps never) that the “unseen” has not been fixed, and so the problem will reoccur, sometimes in a new way, or in a similar event at a future time.
In folk magick, this re-occurrence and the process of trying to repeatedly fix it is called “Chasing the Demon” or “Running the Dragon”, and is extremely prevalent in our society, whether we are talking about healing, religion, love, business, and finance, or politics.
The answer? When you receive the miracle – the result- the good luck – the positive change — support the impact with continued work — the enactment and repetition of positive actions focused on balance, harmony, and forward motion.
When you entered this program, you were involved in several cycles of acceptance and release. Life is not stagnant. We have many energy pulses moving along our web of being and many entanglements. The process of this program is to help sort out what energies and connections we wish to keep, and what we would like to release. By changing our physical environment and personal habits while working on our end-goals, we open the way for future success. We vanquish the demon. Dragon. Bad stuff. Garbage. Pick a word. We’re good to go.
Your Challenge Today: Realignment.
First, consider all you have accomplished! Whoot! With those changes you have made, would you like to reconsider your original program goal? Or, will you choose to leave it in place for the remainder of the program? Next, take a walk around your living/working environment with a notebook and pencil/pen. Make four categories:
Category One: Must Do or Life Will Explode
Category Two: Must Do To Make Life Better/Easier
Category Three: Should Do When I Get To It
Category Four: Remove to Solve the Problem.
Fill in the categories with your observations of what you wish to change as you wander through your living/working area. Prioritize what you want to change under the headings provided. In fact, change those headings to make them funny. Then, give yourself a suggested timeline. For example, you should replace the carpet; but, the budget doesn’t allow for it at this time. Price out the change (your first step toward replacement). The best price is the new goal. So, beside your carpet annotation write – get pricing. One small step (after step, after step) until you can eventually leap, right?
Today, do something from Category Two. Yup. Not Category One (because you’ll do that anyway) — focus on something from category Two AND one thing from Category Four.
Keep your realignment list handy and work with it for the next seven days. Is this type of mental organization helpful? If not, change it so that it meets your needs.
If you want to keep going with the list idea, burn your paper at the end of each week and then write a new list. Be sure to celebrate the accomplishments you have made before creating your updated list.
Now that we have realigned our goals, we should realign our Spirit. Take time out today to relax, breathe deeply, and welcome the wholeness of love and compassion in the universe. Perform a small rite, meditation, working, practice, or ritual that supports this alignment in well-being. Listen to music, take a walk in nature, work on a creative project (or do all three!) that allows your heart and mind to celebrate life.
Remember – No matter what – give or throw something away today. Release!
