DAY 20 — OverView

The next several days can get wonderfully busy, and sometimes a little overwhelming, because so many people are moving through meaningful religious observances and family traditions. Schedules tighten, emotions run high, kitchens turn into command centers, and the to-do list starts multiplying like it has its own agenda. So here’s my personal challenge as we move forward - I’m going to keep these days light, interesting, and fun, even while we’re all juggling real life. We’ll aim for practical progress, not pressure, and we’ll keep the energy playful enough that you can actually enjoy the season while still moving things forward.
Theme: OverView. The places above eye level. Shelves, cabinet tops, closet ledges, fridge tops, bookcase crowns, and the things meant to hang but never quite made it there. These are the spaces that quietly collect dust, clutter, and unfinished intentions.
Reward: 10 Stars
Magickal Moment: Today the ten Little Boogers take charge. They notice that what is ignored long enough starts to feel heavier than it really is, especially the things no one looks at anymore. They declare an official “Over Day” and turn it into a hunt, craning their necks and pointing upward whenever they spot a forgotten shelf or a dusty ledge. PartyHearty adds incentive by announcing that the Booger who finds the most “overs” wins a Yule Ice Cream Sunday. The Countess watches with quiet amusement, knowing that attention is often the first step to release. Auntie Web gently reminds everyone to be careful, because no victory is worth a fall. Laughter echoes through the castle as high places are finally noticed, cleaned, and blessed.

Main Release: Choose one overhead space and bring it back into balance. Look up and select the spot that has been quietly nagging at you. Clear what does not belong. Release what you no longer use. Wipe the surface so it feels finished rather than postponed. If there is something you have meant to hang or install, choose one simple item and either complete it safely or prepare it properly so it is ready to be done. Today is about reclaiming what has been hanging over you.
Over Quest, Top Shelf Edition. Let’s have some fun with today’s task! Before you start, grab a sticky note and write “Level 1” on it, then set a 15-minute timer. Every time you complete an “Over” action, you earn a point. You’re trying to reach 10 points before the timer ends. One point if you wipe an overhead surface, one point if you remove and release one item from an over-space, one point if you relocate something that doesn’t belong, one point if you group like items neatly, one point if you label a bin or shelf, one point if you locate the tools or hardware for a hanging project, one point if you measure and mark a spot safely, one point if you install one hook or hanger, one point if you hang one item, one point if you take a quick “after” photo to prove it happened. You can only earn each point type once, so you can’t just wipe ten times and call it victory.
Each shelf or area you take care of moves you to the next “Level”. The ultimate prize is to complete 10 Levels. The ten Little Boogers are your “Over Judges.” If you complete 10 Levels, you “win the crown” and the top shelf is officially defeated. If you complete 5 Levels, you still win, because you completed the quest on “easy mode,” which is absolutely valid during a busy season. Either way, you end with a tiny reward, something warm, something sweet, or a five-minute sit-down where you look up and feel proud instead of annoyed.
15 minute quick task: Set a timer for fifteen minutes and focus on one overhead area. Wipe it, sort it, and return only what belongs. If the task involves hanging or mounting something, use the time to gather tools, measure, and prepare. When the timer ends, stop. Progress counts.
Booger Boost: The Little Boogers line up proudly and announce that the space is no longer intimidating. They name you “Tall Enough in Spirit,” which is their highest praise. One presents you with an imaginary ladder badge, and another declares the top shelf officially defeated.
Booger Reward:
By late afternoon, Boogie Knight Castle hummed with that particular kind of excitement that sounds like squeals, bragging, and one dramatic fainting that was absolutely not a fainting but could have won an Oscar. Today the Ten Little Boogers earned something rare: Dragon Training privileges.
Not “brush the dragon” privileges. Not “carry the dragon’s snack bucket” privileges.
No, no.
This was the big one.
From the highest parapet—where the winter wind always smells like pine and bonfire sparks turn into prayers on their way to the Goddess—the Boogers lined up in their warmest scarves and bravest faces for Dragon Diving!… also known as D n’ D!
Waiting below, circling like living constellations, were the castle’s pet dragons: Glimmer and Sparkle. Glimmer shimmered like starlight on snow. Sparkle glinted like someone spilled sugar glitter across midnight. Day 20 wasn’t about doing it perfectly. It was about doing the work, showing up, and getting to try again—each attempt a little steadier, a little braver, a little more sure of themselves. Making it through 20 days was an achievement in itself, fitting, said the Count, of an amazing reward.
Count Boogie Knight stood off to the side like an announcer, holding a clipboard he absolutely did not need. The Countess watched with that calm, proud smile that said, I trust you… and I also have cocoa ready for emotional recovery.
“Remember!” called the Dragon Trainer (who wore goggles for reasons no one questioned). “This is DragonDiving—the dragon will pick you up, circle twice, and let you go. Your parachute will open after 5 seconds. Glimmer gave a gentle snort of friendly smoke. Sparkle blinked slowly, like a creature who had seen a thousand foolish ideas and loved every single one.
One by one, the Boogers stepped up, took a deep breath, as the dragon snatched them up, soared upward, circled three times, then let them go. Shrieks and laughter echoed against the castle walls as each little booger flew higher and higher. There was always a breathless squeal of delight when the parachute opened and whooshed them upward, then gurgling giggles as each drifted down in a smooth descent. Every time a Booger landed safely, the others cheered like they’d just witnessed an epic victory.
Because they had.
Not over dragons—over fear. Over doubt. Over that old inner voice that whispers, Don’t try. Don’t risk it. Don’t move. The victors of OverView
Weekly check-in: Pause and check your weekly goal. Notice how it feels in your body. If it feels supportive, continue. If it feels heavy, adjust it without judgment. Choose one small action for tomorrow that feels doable. Rhythm matters more than force.
Astro Snapshot: A 1st Quarter Moon in Capricorn sets a no-nonsense tone, the kind that says, “Do the practical thing now, so future-you isn’t stuck cleaning up a mess later.” With the Sun in Sagittarius square Neptune in Pisces, the day can feel a little foggy around the edges, big feelings, mixed signals, idealism tugging at reality, so keep your plans simple and your expectations honest. Add Venus in Sagittarius square Saturn in Pisces and you get the classic holiday lesson, fun is wonderful, but it works best with boundaries, budgets, and a little emotional maturity, meaning you can still be warm and generous without overpromising, overspending, or overextending. If you are planning a party for this evening build the event like a Capricorn, run it like a Sagittarius, and protect it like a Pisces. Plan the basics, keep it light, keep it kind, and if anything gets weird, don’t wrestle it, redirect with warmth, put on music, refresh drinks, change the subject, and let the night stay sweet instead of spiraling.
Today’s Reward: Enjoy the quiet satisfaction of looking up and feeling calm instead of annoyed. Have a warm drink, light a candle, or simply stand in the room and notice the difference. You earned your 10 Stars.
Peace With the Gods
Peace With Nature
Peace Within
