Day 25 - Great Release Program by Silver RavenWolf

Day 25

ree

Theme: A holy day for many, a regular day for others, and a tender day for anyone who feels out of step with the season.

Reward: 10 Stars

Many readers are celebrating Christmas today, others may be honoring Hanukkah, Yule, the Twelve Days, Kwanzaa, Bodhi Day, Winter Solstice traditions that continue through the week, or simply taking a quiet family day that has nothing to do with any calendar at all. If this is not your holiday, I see you. You do not have to force cheer, perform someone else’s tradition, or feel like you’re “behind” because the world is loud. You are welcome here exactly as you are, and today’s task is designed to be gentle, respectful, and usable no matter what you celebrate, or don’t.

Magickal Moment — Fenrick Emberhorn, Fire Steward and Blacksmith

Behind Boogie Knight Castle, where the wind softens and the trees stand like old guards, sits a small stone cottage with a crooked chimney and a yard that’s always half-swept, half-lived-in. That’s where Fenrick Emberhorn makes his home.  He is the Blacksmith and Fire Steward of Boogie Knight Castle, and its warmth and care is his responsibility.

Fenrick’s skin is green like weathered copper, and ram’s horns curl back from his temples in thick ridged spirals, polished at the tips. He’s the keeper of every magickal hearth, stove, brazier, and corridor-lantern.  He understands heat the way other people understand conversation. He checks the Great Hall hearth as the day begins, stirs the coals, and listens to the draw.  The fire always respects his command -- bright, vibrant and full of life.

By late afternoon the Countess declares a Wrapping Paper Blizzard Marathon, the Boogers scatter like happy ravens, and the Count waves a ribbon streamer like a sacred relic. Under the laughter, the castle seems to whisper, gather the scattered, tame the glitter, restore the calm. Fenrick hears that, too, and quietly prepares for the real centerpiece of the night – the Hearthstone Fire, where all will gather to play games, sing songs, and share goodies!

He builds foundation with structure, airflow, and care. He gives the Boogers small, safe jobs, kindling gatherers, pinecone collectors, and one solemn carrier of the “fire-salt,” while everyone else stands behind the line and practices patience. Then Fenrick kneels, strikes flint to steel, and the first sparks catch.

When the flames rise, the whole castle seems to exhale. Faces glow as Granny Pumpkin makes her rounds with steaming mugs, and even the drafty Great Hall turns kind, warm, and welcoming. Fenrick steps back with his arms folded over his apron, watching the fire settle into a steady, confident roar. He gives one small nod, satisfied, and the hearth answers in the only language it knows, bright, beautiful, and perfectly behaved.

Auntie Moana gathers friends and family and launches them into a lusty song so loud and merry the sound shakes the rafters, and sends ravens and bats swooping through the corridors like they’ve been invited to the celebration. Never was there a cheerier night to behold than in Boogie Knight Castle nestled in the heart of the haunted woods.

Main Release:  Today is a light touch day, because many of us are with family and friends, traveling, hosting, or simply trying to be present while the day moves fast. Your release task is to choose one small thing that prevents tomorrow’s overwhelm, gather the paper, gather the dishes, gather the bags, gather the stray gifts, and make one tidy pile of “not right now” that will be handled later. The release is letting go of the pressure to do everything today. Enjoy the day, do not turn it into a work assignment.

Booger Boost: The Boogers gather around and declare you the Keeper of Comfort, because you found the sweet spot between caring and overdoing. They insist that the best gift you gave today was steadiness, and they are not wrong.

Weekly check-in:   Check your weekly goal with honest eyes, if you are traveling or hosting, shrink it, this is not the week for pressure. Choose one tiny action you can repeat for the next few days, fifteen minutes a day, or one bag a day, and let that be enough.

Astro Snapshot:   The day carries a quieter “hold what matters” tone, better for pacing than pushing. Keep plans realistic, keep expectations kind, and let small resets be your protection spell, especially if emotions run high or schedules shift.  The Moon spends the day in Pisces in a Waxing Crescent phase, a tender “building-light” Moon that favors small steps, soft hearts, and quiet restoration over big pushes, and it’s in harmony with the Sun and Mars while aligning with the Moon’s North Node, which puts compassion with teeth on the menu, feel it, then act kindly and decisively. The Sun is in Capricorn season, so even on a holiday, the most supportive magic is simple structure, clear timing, and steady boundaries, especially if you’re traveling or navigating family energy. With a Sun–Uranus biquintile in play, there’s also a helpful spark for doing things differently in a way that actually works, creative solutions, new traditions, a smarter schedule, or a graceful exit plan that keeps the peace without sacrificing your sanity.

If you are hosting or attending a party:  If you’re hosting or attending a party today, let the Pisces Moon do what it does best, soften the edges without dissolving your boundaries. Arrive with one simple intention, “be present, not perfect,” and give yourself a built-in reset ritual you can do quietly, step into the bathroom or outside air for sixty seconds, breathe in for four, out for six, rinse your hands, smooth your sleeves, and imagine any stress sliding off like water. Capricorn season loves a plan, so set yourself up for success with clear timing, offer a specific help if you’re a guest, and if you’re hosting, choose one “anchor” task you will do well and let the rest be good-enough magic. And because Sun–Uranus wants a smarter way, have an exit strategy that’s kind and clean, a rideshare ready, a “I’m going to refresh my drink” pivot, a soft goodbye you can deliver with warmth, because protecting your peace is not rude, it’s responsible, and tonight’s best spell is gentle compassion that still knows when to leave.

Today’s Reward: Sit down on purpose. Read or watch something entertaining.  Let yourself receive whatever today truly is for you. Walk outside in the dark of the night – and breathe deep.  You earned your 10 Stars, and you do not have to prove anything to deserve them.
