Cleaning up after a holiday party feels like stepping into a festive crime scene, where joy and glitter are the main suspects. As I survey the living room, the evidence is clear: an empty cookie plate that once boasted a dozen delicious treats, a tinsel disaster that looks like the dog fought with the Yule tree, and enough wrapping paper to launch a second career in origami. A sticky substance once known as Wassil adheres in clumps to the edges of the coffee table like hardened rock candy. Each step I take crunches underfoot like a winter wonderland of spilled snacks and stray bits of tissue paper that'll likely haunt me until next year. Just trying to locate the remote feels like a treasure hunt for the lost relic buried under a mountain of empty, discarded holiday gift bags. By the time I'm done, I will have carried more trash bags to the dump than I care to count, and I'll have earned a gold medal in holiday cleanup—if only the Olympic committee recognized the art of Yuletide Declutter! And let's not even talk about the dining room!!
Your mission today, should you choose to accept it, is to clean up and set to rights (lol) your living environment after this past weekend – party or no. Even if you wf ere out socializing and not the host/ess, I’m sure there are rooms that you need to put straight again. If you spent a cozy weekend at home – the condition of the premises may be even worse!
