How to Use Your Rolled BeesWax Candle
Prepare Your Workspace: Find a stable and flat surface to set the candleholder containing your rolled beeswax candle. Ensure there are no flammable materials nearby and that the area is free from drafts.
Light the Wick: Use a lighter or matches to ignite the wick. Hold the flame to the base of the protruding wick until it catches fire. Be sure that the flame also melts a small amount of wax under the wick – this is to ensure the flame takes good hold.
Monitor the Flame: Once lit, observe the flame to ensure it burns steadily and evenly. If the flame flickers excessively or smokes, it may indicate a draft or that the wick needs trimming.
Enjoy Your Candle: Allow the rolled beeswax candle to burn for at least 1 hour during the initial lighting to establish a wide wax pool and prevent tunneling. Remember never to leave a burning candle unattended and always keep it out of reach of children and pets. These candles only burn about 2 hours.
Extinguish Safely: When you're finished enjoying your candle, gently blow out the flame or use a candle snuffer to extinguish it. Wait until the wax has cooled and solidified before moving the candle or relighting it. If you re-light, cut the wick to ¼ inch and light as instructed previously.
