2015 Great Release Program Day 3 – December 3 2015 by Silver RavenWolf

Every day you must throw something away!

Thursday Moon in Virgo- 4th Quarter (Banishing!)

Ideal Planetary Hour for Magick — Mercury Hour for Virgo Energy – Jupiter Hour for the Ruler of the Day

Light a Silver or Blue Candle to bring Virgo Moon energy into your day!

This Week’s Theme:  Clearing Your Mind

The Foundation —  Begin your day with the Braucherei Morning cleansing and empowerment exercise (please view first post of the program ), followed by practicing this week’s theme — Clearing Your Mind — where each day you will practice replacing negative thoughts with positive ones.  Think of something you love — and hold onto it as long as you can each and every time a negative, fearful, or worry filled thought crosses your mind.  Don’t forget to use the Peace Prayer and the Star Throw in your daily activities (located in Day 2 of the program).  When you have finished with this week’s theme exercises, move on to today’s fun activities!

Silver Notes — The Reward Calendar —To help you with this year’s release program I made a calendar for you.  Print out the image and use it to keep track of your accomplishments, or schedule tasks that you don’t want to forget.  For example, let’s say this Saturday is Oven Day; but, you have a family function that will take most of the day and you won’t be able to get to the oven that day.  Choose another day and write Oven Day on your calendar so you won’t forget the task. The calendar also serves as a motivation tool.  Each day give yourself One Star if you have thrown or given something away.  Two Stars if you have accomplished the day’s main task — for example, today is Bitty Day where you will concentrate on all that little stuff you’ve been meaning to do — but haven’t.  Give yourself Three Stars if you have accomplished everything listed in today’s summary located at the bottom of this post.  On Saturday, count your stars and reward yourself!  You can also use the Star/Reward idea with others in the home.  Perhaps earning a star every day wins their favorite pizza or ice cream at the end of the week.  This is your program, use it the way it suits you and your family best.

Today’s Challenges!

Magickal Challenge — Today you will choose at least one Totem Animal that you feel best represents what you want to accomplish with this year’s release program.  If you choose an animal that you aren’t familiar with — do a little research to find out more about it.  Once you choose your totem animal (yes, you can choose two, if you like) spend a little time today in meditation, vision questing or divination to understand more about yourself and your goals through your connection with the animal spirit.  Sometimes the animal will choose you.  For example, you may go outside after reading today’s post and a squirrel whips an acorn at your head (it can happen) — Squirrel, then, would be your totem animal for the program.  What if you see a bug instead?  That’s just fine.  Spiders, Praying Mantis, and other insects have loads of magick to share!

This year, I chose the Barn Owl and the Goose as the totem animals for the overall 2015 program.  The Owl is a messenger totem, a power animal of white magick, and the keeper of wisdom (often associated with Athena), clairvoyance and insight.  I hear them most night’s in the woods and have found comfort in their eerie call.  The Goose is associated with Dame Holda (Birtha and Frigga also have connections to this power animal as well as Hecate, Aphrodite and Juno).  Goose energy is extremely protective and can be aggressive (the reptile mind of a parent when its young is in trouble). It is said that the goose can shape destiny and render justice when needed.  Most important (and back to Dame Holda) — the energy of the goose rewards the hard working.  Finally, who doesn’t like Mother Goose and her ability to spin the magick of words?  Whether you choose your own totems or use the two that I’ve picked for the program — put a picture, statue, drawing or other image of your totem animal(s) on your peace altar today.  Ask that their wisdom and power enter your life where it is most needed.

Physical Challenge — Today is Little Bitty Day.  This is the day that you work on as many small things that you can that you have ignored the past month or two.  Doesn’t matter what it is — what matters is that you finish as many tasks as possible.  Maybe you meant to sweep the garage floor — but, you’ve just been too busy.  Forgot to empty the trash in the bathroom?  Left the bread molding in the corner of the rack in the kitchen?  Need to dump toaster crumbs?  Clean out the dryer vent?  Vacuum under the sink?  Throw out those super old blue jeans that don’t fit anymore?  Put something away you bought three weeks ago?  You choose.  With the fourth quarter Moon in Virgo, this is a perfect day for small tasks, cleaning up e-mails, filing paperwork (Mercury Ruler of the Virgo Moon) or getting your holiday gift list squared in your mind.  Bitty Day will be different for everyone!

Today’s Summary

Choose a Totem Animal(s) to represent your goals in this program.

Repeat the Peace Prayer and practice the Star Throw Blessing.

Little Bitty Day!  How many little Bitty tasks were you able to accomplish?

Throw one thing away (most important task)

Don’t forget to add the coins to your Joy Jar!

Sleep well and see ya in the morning!

Peace with the Gods Peace with Nature Peace Within!
